The ONL, MA, RI, NH & CT Leadership Academy is a two month, multifaceted, executive-style program, form on the foundation of the ONL, MA - RI Leadership Development Model. It's purpose is to develop and continuously expand the knowledge, practice and character of nursing leadership for the benefit of patients and nurses across the continuum and throughout the state and affiliated regions.
Participants: 25 per program; teams of four or more from an institution suggested
Cost of Program: $1,499 for ONL members
$1,749 for non-ONL members (includes a one year ONL membership)

The program includes four distinct Modules, during a two month period.
Module 1 - The Self
The participants will identify intrinsic characteristics, including personality type and traits, and begin to develop competencies to successfully apply these aspects to balance the dimensions of management and leadership.
MODULE 2 - THE LEADER: ORGANIZATION
The participants will be able to assess and identify organizational priorities and will develop a plan to support implementation of a leadership project within their own organization.
Module 3 - The Leader: People
The participants will focus on leadership theory to help understand/assess their own leadership approach and its appropriate use based on the situation. With the help of a coach, the participants will develop a plan for goal setting and goal achievement.
Module 4 - Return Leadership Day
The participants will present the planning, status of implementation, and analysis and evaluation of their leadership project. They will seek peer consultation regarding style, effectiveness and role as a leader. They will present their plan for the use of a mentor and for continued leadership development.
